Our 6-month, cross-company, cohort-based turnkey programs combine 1-on-1 skills-based mentoring, and career development education to grow employees’ knowledge, networks, and potential without needing to stand-up your own program

Our next cohort launches August, 26, 2024

  • Employees are matched 1:1 with a mentor using our unique matching formula, which takes into account values, strengths, goals, and skill development needs

  • We help mentees and mentors tie their program goals to skills development in order to produce tangible program outcomes for the employee and their organization.

  • Mentees and mentors have access to Career School, our monthly career development workshop series that covers topics like emotional intelligence, career path planning, work/life balance, communication skills, and more!

Skills-based mentorship. Real ROI.

Skills-based mentorship emphasizes tangible skills development by tying its partnership goals to specific skills that the mentee wants to cultivate during the mentoring partnership.

This approach ensures that organizations see the real-world impact of their investment.

Your people crave career development.

We’ve got that covered.

41% of employees who left their job between 2021 and 2022 did so because of a lack of career development opportunities

Guidepost participants receive exclusive access to our monthly Career School workshops where they’ll learn important skills and tools to become forward-thinking professionals, effective collaborators, and future leaders.

Why Guidepost?

With over 11 years of experience building, running, and scaling mentorship and career mobility programs, our founder, Kristen Freaney, brings expertise and a deep belief in the power of great mentoring programs.

  • 11+ years of experience building, running, and scaling mentorship programs means we’ve learned lots of important lessons, stumbled across common pitfalls, and honed a slate of best practices. Things that only come with time in the seat.

  • Mentoring software is a significant recurring cost (think $8,000-$20,000 per year for a small program)! With Guidepost, your employees get all the benefits of an online mentoring platform without the ongoing financial and administrative investments.ere

  • Mentoring relationships can be inspiring and transformative, but they can also be disappointing and unfulfilling if the mentor and mentee don’t click. Re-matching is normal part of every program, but with Guidepost, you don’t have to be the one to facilitate an amicable breakup between the two internal staff members.

  • Oftentimes, mentees and mentors crave additional career development education and structured experiences they can share with their partner, but building and facilitating these opportunities takes time and expertise. With Guidepost, participants are enrolled in Career School, a wraparound career support program.

Patagonia + Path to Peak: Mentoring Program Case Study

The consulting arm of Guidepost, Path to Peak, began working with Patagonia in 2021 to help bring their vision for an employee mentorship program to life.

“We relied on Kristen Freaney’s ability to share her expertise and at the same time adapt to our culture. She was invaluable.”

Nora Gallagher, Chair of Patagonia’s Emeritus Council
